Vision

 Vision and Areas of Activity:

On the horizon of 2026, the research center operates at both national and international level whose major activities are, to assist policy makers and regulators with decision making within the field of pilgrimage and tourism, to conduct problem-oriented, developmental, and fundamental research to help activists in the field to build up networks, to offer short-term higher education programs, to train professional researchers and to offer consulting services to applicant institutions within the field of pilgrimage and tourism

Mission

Enjoying research and scientific capacities of Ferdowsi University of Mashhad as well as extensive connections with various national and international universities and research centers, the Center for Pilgrimage and Tourism Studies strives to address high-priority research needs of Iran within the field of pilgrimage and tourism. This mission is accomplished by utilizing scientific achievements and modern technologies in this field while maintaining the standards of scientific research.
