Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute

The Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Center has been established to fulfill the research needs of Hajj and Pilgrimage organization. The institute has five research groups including history and tradition, ethics and secrets of the Hajj, social studies of Hajj, theology and the teachings of Hajj, jurisprudence and Hajj rights.

 

 

Tourism Research Institute of Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research

Tourism research Institute of the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research started its specialized activities in October 2009 with the purpose of concentrating specialist research and scientific output regarding tourism, commensurate with the basic needs and upper-hand documents of Iran, and after obtaining the principled agreement of the central office. One of the major aims of this institute is to satisfy the research needs of executive, policy-making organizations within the field of tourism; in addition, considering the relative advantages and future needs of both the province and the country, improving the quality of the research, as well as innovation and creativity in recognizing issues that are in need of further study in this field are among the main responsibilities of this institute. Considering the multi-disciplinary nature of tourism and the need for a comprehensive look at this phenomenon, this institute is presently comprised of three following research groups: Sociology of Tourism research group, Tourism Planning and Management research group, and Economics of Tourism research group.

 

 

Cultural Heritage and Tourism Institute

 

This institute has been established in order to fulfill some of the country's research needs in the field of cultural heritage and tourism. The aims of this research center are to develop and extend the research capacity on cultural heritage and tourism in order to revitalize and document the works, preserve their quality, and reveal the lost historical and natural cultural circles. In addition, it attempts to provide an appropriate context for promoting research activities. Currently, the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Institute consists of multiple research centers and groups as follows: Research Institute of Archaeology, Research Institute of Anthropology, Research Institute of Linguistics, Inscriptions and Texts, Research Institute of the Conservation and Restoration of Historical-Cultural Works, Research Institute of Monuments and Historical-Cultural Contexts, the National/ Traditional Arts Group and The Tourism Group.
